I have camped on the side of Flagstaff's San Francisco Peaks for many years. Every time I make the hike up to the inner basin. If you time it right and you are there in the fall, you are treated to a wonderful display of fall colors. You wind through the aspens and are truly enveloped by them. The yellow glow is amazing and the path so inviting. This is my homage to that experience.
This piece is painted in oils and cold wax on a thin 4mm aluminum composite panel. It has an aluminum frame on the back that allows it to float off the wall for a very contemporary look. There is no need for framing. The piece weighs no more than 10lbs.
